Start with the Right Version

Joining a server and hosting one are different tasks. For hosting, verify the package and its requirements before changing a live server.

    Choose your route

    Join an existing server to play, or prepare a separate test server to host.

  2. 2

    Check the package

    Read its source, version, license and requirements. A mirror filename is not release verification.

  3. 3

    Configure

    Back up first. For the inspected legacy layout, review root config.json and the files under config/.

  4. 4

    Test

    Confirm startup, database persistence and a complete patrol before opening to players.

What is FivePD?

FivePD is a police-roleplay modification for FiveM with AI scenarios and cooperative patrols. It is a separate project from LSPDFR, not an official multiplayer port of that mod.

Is this the official FivePD website?

No. FivePDMod.com is an independent guide and download-information site. It is not the FivePD development team. Consult the FivePD project website for developer announcements.

Is FivePD free to use?

Legacy FivePD has been distributed as a free download, but free does not mean open source or permission to redistribute. Hosting and third-party add-ons may cost money. Check the terms of the package you use.

Can I play FivePD alone?

You can patrol alone on a FiveM server, including a local test server. That is different from installing a single-player GTA V mod; FiveM and a server are still part of the setup.

Which version should I download?

We have not verified a current official release. Our download page distinguishes existing legacy mirrors from external project links. Check the source and version before installing or updating.

Do I need ELS to run FivePD?

ELS is a separate optional lighting resource, not a general requirement for FivePD. Use the instructions for your chosen lighting system and vehicle pack; do not assume ELS and Luxart are interchangeable.
