FivePD Plugins: Find, Install and Troubleshoot Add-ons
Explore existing FivePD plugin sources and learn to install compatible legacy .NET add-ons safely, without confusing plugins with callouts or FiveM resources.
FivePD plugins are not the same thing as custom callouts or standalone FiveM scripts. The inspected FivePD v1.5 manifest includes client-script patterns for plugin assemblies under plugins/, separately from callout assemblies under callouts/.
This is evidence for that legacy package’s layout, not a guarantee that every add-on works in newer FiveM builds or that the entire plugin API has been documented here.
Where to find FivePD plugins
The FivePD community downloads catalog already links to author-maintained repositories and release pages. Examples include:
- DevKilo Drug Test Kit releases — a narcotics-testing plugin; verify target FivePD version and author permissions.
- DevKilo CPR Plugin releases — a legacy CPR interaction; verify compatibility before installing.
- Other community add-ons in the catalog — callouts and developer resources are listed separately from plugins.
A listed source is not a binary-safety test, redistribution permission or compatibility guarantee. Check the specific author’s license, dependencies, build instructions and release history. GitHub’s green Code download often yields source files, not compiled plugin assemblies.
Install a plugin in a test FivePD server
- Back up the working FivePD resource, configuration and database.
- Match the plugin’s published API/core version and dependencies to your installed FivePD build.
- Inspect the downloaded archive for its exact file layout and .net.dll assembly. The legacy manifest references files matching plugins/*.net.dll and plugins//*.net.dll**.
- Put the files only where the author and the installed core instruct, preserving names and dependencies. Do not overwrite the FivePD core DLLs.
- Start/restart the resource on a separate test instance under controlled conditions. Capture the first FXServer and F8 errors.
- Exercise the plugin’s feature, confirm normal callouts and database behavior, then test reconnect and restart before deploying.
A plugin packaged as a standalone FiveM resource may instead need its own fxmanifest.lua and resource entry; do not apply the internal .NET plugin workflow to unrelated products. For callout assemblies follow the callout installation guide.
Plugins not loading or crashing FivePD
Check the resource manifest, .NET target, additional dependencies, API version and correct plugin file location. Move the latest added plugin out of the test instance, reproduce a clean baseline, then add files back one at a time.
A server that fails before plugins load needs FivePD startup diagnostics. A server that starts but cannot dispatch calls needs callout troubleshooting.
Popular FivePD plugin keywords: K9, MDT and backup
Searches for FivePD K9, FivePD MDT or FivePD backup plugins may refer to third-party resources with different controls, dependencies and licenses. This site cannot confirm a maintained compatible plugin for each term. The bundled FivePD police computer is documented separately from external MDT plugins.
Before installing anything
The FivePD status and source review explains the limitations of the archived binaries and source material. Test and document the exact version you run. Do not assume availability or an old publication date means an add-on is supported today.
